Juru immigration detention centre declared free of leptospirosis
The Juru Immigration detention depot in Bukit Mertajam has been declared free of leptospirosis outbreak.

Merican said all the six patients admitted at Bukit Mertajam hospital
have been discharged.
He said only more person was still warded at Seberang Jaya hospital and his condition was stable.
As to the outbreak of Influenza A/H3 (seasonal flu) at Maktab Rendah
Sains Mara in Kuantan, Dr Ismail said, of the 115 kept in observation
room, 38 were given a clean bill of health and discharged while the
remaining 77 were still being monitored.
“No new cases have
been reported thus far. However, the medical team is still closely
monitoring the situation at the boarding school and will remain there
until today (thursday),” he added.
He said laboratory tests have confirmed that the students were infected with the
