U.S. Citizenship and Immigration
Services (USCIS) published in its recent September 2009 Visa Bulletin, a
reminder for employment based fourth preference category which includes special
immigrant religious workers who have a pending or approved Petition for
Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, (Form I-360), to file their
Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, (Form I-485), on
or before Aug. 31, 2009.
Only properly filled Form I-485
applications based on pending or approved Form I-360 petitions seeking the
special immigrant religious worker classification will be accepted until Aug.
31, 2009.
Therefore,
USCIS will reject Form I-485 applications submitted on or after Sept. 1, 2009,
because an immigrant visa will not be immediately available, as required by INA
245(a).

Agenda

broken and everyone has an opinion on how best to fix it, especially those who
have had to endure the problems within the system as a beneficiary or
petitioner
