By law, the US Government gives 50,000 diversity visas ("green cards")
each year through the Diversity Immigrant Visa Lottery (also known as
the "Green Card Lottery," "US Visa Lottery," or the "US Immigration
Lottery"). The US visas offered through the Visa Lottery grant permanent
residence and work status to winners of the Green Card Lottery.

benefits of a US permanent resident, including health, job, and
education benefits and opportunities. US Visa Lottery winners can also
become US citizens if they so desire.

Almost everyone qualifies to participate in the US Green Card Lottery!
Applicants must satisfy minimum nationality and education or work
experience requirements. There are no age limits and you can register
for the Green Card Lottery if you are living in the US or in a foreign
country.

How Do the person Register to Participate in the US Immigration Lottery?
Registering for the US Immigration Lottery takes only a few minutes and
must be done electronically. First you must complete the electronic
Diversity Visa Lottery application form. After your green card
application is completed, you will be required to submit photos for all
family members included on your US Visa Lottery registration and pay the
Green Card Experts processing fee. Instructions for submitting photos
and sending payment for the Visa Lottery are provided at the time you
register for the US Immigration Lottery.

What Happens After Registering for the Green Card Lottery?
