Consular posts in India will soon require the use of the newly-developed DS-160 web-based Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV) application for all visitors to the United States. This new form will incorporate all existing NIV applications into one interactive, online form. For all NIV visa appointments beginning February 1, 2010, applicants will be required to fill out the DS-160 form, which will be available online January 19, 2010.
